Greenhouse Architecture

On many occasions, MBA has been asked to design Greenhouses, with the growing popularity of individuals wanting to grow their own gardens of fruits, vegetables, herbs,  etc.  Design can be an addition to the existing building or a separate structure.  Anywhere from 100 square feet to 1,000+ square feet,  walk-in, reach-in, or walk-around design.  Please call for a consultation.
MBA has extensive experience in Green Design as well as Sustainability.  Professor Michael P. Boardway has also coined the phrase “VIBRATIONAL – GREEN ARCHITECTURE.” This phrase means that the building occupants will increase their vibration and frequency to a higher level of evolution (Affecting all the senses with; Light, Colors, Sound & Specific Materials throughout the building, crystals, oils,  etc.).  Why not the whole picture (The occupants), why just the building?  Also “Green” means efficient design with the least dependability on outsourcing (off the grid) for energy use. Professor Boardway coordinated with and help establish the; “California Energy Commission,”   for the State of California,  in 1978.  Energy efficiency is one of the primary goals of MBA Architectural and is reflected in the Architectural Services provided as well as any and all seminars, workshops, etc.. offered by our company. Items such as the following:
1.    Passive & Active Solar Design (photovoltaic panels, etc.)
2.    Geo- Thermal (Using Natural Elements)
3.    Proper Placement / Orientation of Structure
4.    Utilize and maximize Day Lighting
5.    Recycle / collect water on site for irrigation
6.    Good Site Design (Environmental Design) proper placement of vegetation, elements
7.    Good Efficient Building Envelope – High R factors for each assembly, 0 – low U-factors
8.    Utilize natural breezes with operable windows, and interior air currents, as required,
(Natural Convection when possible)
9.    Double+ Glaze all windows with low “E” type glass.
10.  Sensors inside & outside the building for Lighting,  HVAC, Plumbing Fixtures, etc…
11.  Sacred Geometry (Timeless Architecture)
12.  Recycled Materials and use materials that can be recycled
13.  Automatic Flush Valves
14.  Tankless Water Heaters
15.  Waterless Urinals
16.  Underground Cisterns for irrigating
